Wendy and Shane's story began to unfold during their sophomore year of high school, finding each other in the serendipitous setting of a chemistry class. Their connection sparked immediately, leading them to start dating on the memorable day of July 2, 2014, marking the beginning of a devoted journey together.

After their high school graduation in 2016, Shane took a brave step and enlisted in the U.S. Army. This decision led them into the challenges of a long-distance relationship, with only rare occasions, once or twice a year, where they could be in each other's arms. Shane’s deployment in Turkey for a year added more distance, creating a void where they couldn’t see each other at all.

But love found its way, and their connection only grew stronger with each passing day. Finally, the summer of 2021 brought Shane home for good, closing the distance that had kept them apart for so long. In the warm embrace of October's glow, Shane took Wendy on a gondola ride in Newport Beach, a moment suspended in time, where he asked her to be his forever, marking the beginning of their new chapter together.
